The Walk

In Genesis 17:1, we read:

"When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, ‘I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless.’"

In Psalm 119:1, we read:

"Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord!"

Life with God is a WALK—both a walk before God and a walk in His law—which represents God's moral code (see the post about the moral code).

In Colossians 2:6-7, we read:

"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving."

Conclusion

These Scriptures teach that the Christian life is a walk— it is a walk journey before God in obedience to His moral code, which is ultimately a walk before God in Christ.
