Does This Glorify God?

God created all things for His glory. Believers, created for God’s glory (Isaiah 43:7), are commanded to do all things to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).

Those who love God and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ should continually maintain this mindset throughout every moment of their lives: Does this glorify God?

Does this glorify God? is an excellent evaluative filter that believers should regularly apply to every area of life as they go about their day.

As believers think, speak, labor, rest, rise, gather, or engage in any activity whatsoever, they should unfailingly examine themselves by this standard: Does this glorify God? In every circumstance in which a believer may find himself, he ought to pose this question, for it will assist him in walking faithfully in the ways of God—provided he sincerely desires to please the Lord and answers the question both biblically and truthfully.

It would be exceedingly fruitful if believers would approach life using Does this glorify God? as the guiding filter for their thoughts, emotions, words, and deeds, by God’s grace.

I pray that God would graciously grant to each person who reads this the enabling grace to implement this helpful practice in his daily walk with God, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
