- Topic of the Day:Let us pray that God would increase and strengthen the faith of His children—the faith of the Church as His body (Luke 17:5; Ephesians3:16-17). It is evident that there is a crisis of faith within the Church. For example, we often do not expect God to move powerfully during our times of worship as He did in the early Church. Likewise, we seldom speak of spiritual gifts or earnestly desire them (1 Cor. 12:31), even though God designed them for the edification of the body of Christ. Another example may be seen in the ministry of the apostles following the ascension of the Lord Jesus. Scripture records that the Lord worked with them and confirmed their message through accompanying signs (Mark 16:20). It is important to understand that this was not intended to be exclusive to the apostles but applies more broadly to the Lord’s servants under the guidance of the Holy Spirit (John 14:12).

Our concern is that in many churches, services have become routine—week after week—without any expectation of the supernatural. This is not the pattern presented in Scripture. The Church of Christ must return to the foundational, Christlike faith taught in Scripture and manifest the power of God to the world. That power remains available; however, many believers lack the faith to walk in it humbly. Indeed, it appears that some have come to regard the supernatural as something characteristic of the early Church, but not of the Church today. This is the condition from which we cry out to God for deliverance. We ask that He would grant faith and increase the faith of those who, by His grace, are already walking in the right path.

- One Special Thing & Encouragement – Any encouragement God has given to anyone.

- Next Session’s Topic:Let us pray that God would help His Church to understand that the sacrifice of Christ is sufficient and to rest fully in His finished work (1 Cor. 2:2; Gal. 2:20; Heb. 12:1–2). Let us therefore pray that the Church would resist the human tendency toward works, striving, and religious activity—patterns so deeply ingrained that they hinder believers from walking in the dominion that Christ has purchased for His people. Errors concerning salvation will also be addressed as people gain a clearer understanding of the work of the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ. People are deceived into attempting to be godly without God, which is impossible.

- Closing Prayer and Thanksgiving – Thank You, Lord our God, for hearing our prayers and receiving our thanksgiving, in Jesus' name. Amen.
